1. Check if got washers (semi circle about a couple of cms long on inside edge of chrome ring) 2. Look at the inside of the lamp, if there is 2 light sections and then a 3rd smaller (3cm) circle with 'Xenon technology' stamped into it then they are Xenons. If just the 2 light sections and no words then its halogen.

Bi-Xenon. Bi-Xenon refers to a two-beam system in which both are HID bulbs. It involves more technology than that, which also adds to the cost, but essentially, HID bulbs function as high and low beams. Xenon headlights are generally more expensive and require a separate bulb for high and low beams, while bi-xenon headlights are more affordable and require only one bulb for both high and low beams. I've had Opti-Lens on the E320 CDI's headlamp assemblies after I converted them from halogen to HID. It's been three and a half years so far, and they continue to look great. No yellowing in that time. The same applied to the S600's original lens covers until I replaced the assemblies with Depos.
