I first thought it was just an issue with that set of boots since I have had 2 sets of Lowa Tibets and 1 set of Lowa Zephyr Desert boots without an issue but my mom also had a set of Lowa Renegades and the sole became detached as well. So I lost any confidence in the Renegades.

The Tibet’s are roomier, heavier, and don’t flex as much. First impressions would seem like the Tibet’s would be more durable since they are made of smooth leather for the entire boot while the tower treks use some stretch fabric for the tounge (really comfortable) and more fabric on the flex points,and suede leather.
