War of the ring expansions I’ll get if they ever come back in stock because the Tolkien verse is my all time favorite story/setting/world ever and who doesn’t want to play as ents and balrogs. But games like splendor, azul, Sagrada, 7 wonders, the western kingdom games…I doubt I’ll get those games expansions.

The expansions basically add quite a bit of bloat, which is great if you've done the base game to death and want More of the Ring. But until that point, the base game is brilliant as it is, and there's a risk with buying it all that if you don't like it then it's an extra 80 wasted.

As has been pointed out in other threads there are 8 possible combinations of the expansions. Some have argued that LoMe plus WoMe favors the Free Peoples too much, including me. (Though I also have seen evidence for the combination being reasonably balanced.) I do not want a perfect expansion, but I want a good one that works well with the others.
Unfortunately, there is no definitive answer to this question. Officially, the game is on "hiatus", but most fans assume that it is unlikely to receive new expansions in the future. That said, there is a fan project called A Long Extended Party that continues the game and produces very high quality expansions with commissioned art and everything.
